From my email from the Australian Psychological Society:
A new way to appreciate psychology
Psychlopaedia is a new website, brought to you by the APS, that will help the public better understand the benefits and breadth of psychology.
Psychlopaedia provides engaging, accessible and authoritative insights to help people improve their health, relationships, work and performance, as well as busting myths about psychology and growing an understanding of this broad discipline.
A stronger public appreciation of psychology is strategically important for the APS. As well as welcoming your views on this new website, we would also appreciate if you could help raise awareness of Psychlopaedia.
I also note, further down the page that Psychlopaedia offers APS members the:
Opportunity to author articles on Psychlopaedia, raise your profile (my emphasis) and share your knowledge.
I haven’t read any of the actual content, but I guess it will provide an interesting snapshot of what is currently accepted as “standard psychology facts” by the APS.
