    Violence does tend to peak around summer because more people are interacting in public spaces and are out for longer periods of time in summer. Also hot weather makes people more irritable and therefore tend to get aggravated quite quickly.

    General crime rates tend to peak in summer too, due to many people being away from their properties and on holidays, the number of robberies etc increase.

    Interesting that they are finding a limit between summer and domestic violence too.
