Yay this guy for calling out the “rubbish” – in this case, teaching to Learning Styles as if they are fixed ways of absorbing information. While it is probably true that people have preferences for how they process information, the whole point of being educated or trained is to build up skills or ways of thinking that don’t come naturally. If I applied “Learning Styles” to teaching, one thing I would try to ensure is that people were encouraged to learn how to process information through their least-preferred modality …
